Time: and a Clock in Riverside

Posted on June 13, 2014 in Blog, Public Art, Riverside

Do you recognize this? It’s on the longest street car route in Toronto, the 501 Queen.

Bridge Riverside art

Ever drive across the Queen Street bridge over the Don Valley and try and make sense of the saying over the roadway? It is part one of a three-part 1990 art installation by Eldon Garnet called Time: and a Clock and reads, This river I step in is not the river I stand in”.

The other two parts can be found at the corner of Broadview and Queen and on the edge of Jimmie Simpson Park further east on Queen. They will follow in another post of their own.
